Job Title: Lead Microbiologist
Location: London NW10

Our expanding quality team is seeking an experienced Lead Microbiologist to continue the development of a service supporting the delivery of high quality aseptically dispensed pharmaceutical products.
(Salary up to £45,000 gross pa dependent on experience)
Location: London NW10

Duties will include:

Working with the QC and QA Managers to ensure that manufacturing and quality activities are performed in compliance to EU GMP and other regulations governing the Company activities.

Leading projects, e.g. equipment validation, and deliver required outcomes in own specialist area.

Contributing to and positively influencing the outcome of regulatory and customer audits through site preparations and effective communications.

Providing support and advice in quality system processes in respect to own specialist area.

Mentoring and developing staff both within and outside of the quality function in respect to own specialist area.

Service development to include opportunities for income generation.

Trending of microbiological results.

Writing and signing off reports such as risk assessments, change controls and VMP.

Reviewing SOP’s

Delivering necessary training and presentations to production/ quality teams.

Key Requirements:

Graduate qualification in microbiology – preferably studied to a more advanced level; with knowledge and experience of aseptic manufacture.

Knowledge and experience of working to EU GMP quality standards.

Practical understanding of microbiological analytical methods.

Experience of project development within a hospital or commercial role.

The ability to identify, develop and implement new technologies and working practices to achieve optimal efficiency levels and cost effectiveness.

Reliable and flexible.

Working independently as well as part of a team.

Decision making ability in a fast paced environment.

The role involves working to a rota with start times of 6.30am, 9am and 10am.
